So! I had my family vacation! It was lovely! And now I’m home, but only long enough to charge my Kindle and do a couple loads of laundry. Today – in a few hours, in fact – I’m leaving again to attend a workshop in Mombasa about preventing gender-based violence (domestic abuse is staggeringly prevalent in Kenya). Following that ray-of-sunshine seminar, I will be in Nairobi for a few days getting poked with needles, as a part of our “mid-service medical exams.” Mid-service already? Wow.
